Motto: Explore the Ordinary, Discover the Extraordinary
Welcome to Dickyways Tours and Travel Limited. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking any tour, safari, excursion, or travel service with us. By booking a trip with us, you agree to be legally bound by these terms.
“Company,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our” refers to Dickyways Tours and Travel Limited.
“Client,” “You,” or “Your” refers to the individual, group, corporate entity, or traveler booking a service with us.
“Services” refers to safari packages, city tours, culinary tourism (tea/coffee tours), adventures, beach getaways, corporate team-building, airport transfers, car hire, and accommodation bookings provided by the Company.
To secure your tailored itinerary, bespoke experience, or standard travel package, the following financial terms apply:
Deposit: A deposit of 50% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking confirmation, unless stated otherwise for peak-season bookings (e.g., the Great Migration period).
Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 30 days prior to the safari or tour departure date.
Late Bookings: For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required immediately upon confirmation.
Price Transparency: In alignment with our core value of Integrity & Transparency, all prices quoted are competitive and complete with no hidden costs. However, we reserve the right to adjust prices in the event of unforeseen government tax increments, park fee revisions, or extreme fuel surcharges.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to info@dickywaystoursandtravel.com. Because we partner with third-party luxury lodges, hotels, and flight providers, cancellations attract the following fees based on when the notice is received before departure:
60 days or more: Full refund minus a minimal administrative fee and non-refundable deposit components (e.g., specific flight/lodge deposits).
30 to 59 days: 25% of the total tour cost is forfeited.
15 to 29 days: 50% of the total tour cost is forfeited.
0 to 14 days (or No Show): 100% of the total tour cost is forfeited.
Note on Gorilla/Rhino/Special Conservancies: Payments made for specific conservation permits (such as Ol Pejeta or specialized mountain climbing permits) are 100% non-refundable due to strict wildlife authority regulations.
By the Client: We pride ourselves on delivering Bespoke Travel Experiences. If you wish to amend your tailored itinerary after confirmation, we will do our best to accommodate the changes subject to availability and any additional third-party costs.
By the Company: While we endeavor to execute every itinerary flawlessly, Africa’s wild terrains can be unpredictable. We reserve the right to alter routes, accommodations, or tracking activities due to local weather conditions, river crossings (e.g., Mara River dynamics), safety concerns, or unforeseen infrastructure constraints. An equivalent standard of accommodation/service will always be provided.
Passports and Visas: Clients must possess a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity from the date of travel) and secure the necessary visas or Electronic Travel Authorizations (eTA) required to enter Kenya or neighboring destinations.
Health and Vaccinations: Clients are solely responsible for checking and meeting health requirements (e.g., Yellow Fever, Malaria prophylactics) relevant to safari destinations like Maasai Mara, Samburu, or Tsavo.
Travel Insurance: It is a strict condition of booking that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and loss of personal baggage.
Inherent Risks: You acknowledge that wildlife safaris, hot air ballooning, mountain climbing (e.g., Mount Kenya), cycling (e.g., Hell’s Gate), and water sports (e.g., Watamu/Diani) carry inherent risks. Dickyways Tours and Travel Limited prioritizes premium quality, comfort, and safety, utilizing well-maintained vehicles and highly trained professional guides. However, the Company cannot be held liable for personal injury, illness, or death arising from natural wildlife behavior or adventure activities.
Luggage and Valuables: While we provide reliable transport and security, personal belongings remain the client’s responsibility at all times.
Consistent with our commitment to Sustainability & Responsible Tourism, we require all clients to:
Respect wildlife guidelines, park rules, and the instructions of our professional tour guides.
Engage ethically during cultural and immersive community visits (e.g., Maasai, Samburu, Luo, or Njemps communities).
Protect natural heritage by avoiding littering, keeping a safe distance from wild animals, and minimizing environmental impact during eco-tours.
The Company reserves the right to terminate the tour of any client whose behavior is deemed disruptive, hazardous, or disrespectful to local cultures or wildlife.
If you experience any issues during your trip, you must notify your professional guide or our 24/7 customer support line immediately so we can resolve the matter on the spot. If the issue cannot be resolved during the trip, written complaints must be submitted within 14 days of tour completion. This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
